Got your rebate yet?
If there's anybody else out there who thought they were going to be getting a rebate check by now and did not get one, I'd like to hear from you.
'd like to know when you filed your return. Did you use a tax preparer? if so, which one?
If you used TurboTax, I'd like to know that, too.
I'm looking for people to use in a future story about these rebates, which have people massively confused. And, I suppose, waiting for their money.

I have not received my rebate yet. I filed my taxes myself, electronically, using TaxCut in mid February. I file my daughters in the same manner, at the same time, and she also has not received her rebate.

I filed right on the deadline, April 15th and used TurboTax and still have not received our rebate. I saw something online that said it works by the last 4 digits of your social security number but the formula that was posted indicated I should have received it on May 12th. But so far, nothing...

I'm very disspointed with the electronic filing system. I file my return with the H&R Block way a head before the deadline.I pay off ALL my behind Bills with my payroll check leaving my rent for my rebate check.I didn't borther to find out more about detail with the filing system 'til the day I didnt get my rebate in my account. I think it doesn't matter how we file electronic. Now I have to browwer money from my friends.

I DID receive the normal rebate, I have NOT received the extra government issued one yet. I hope it comes soon. I used an accountant to file.

My husband and I filed jointly through turbo tax in February. Together we make over $80,000/year, have one dependent child and our return was $286 for both of us. Never using turbo tax again. We have received our tax refund but no stimulus yet.
Posted by: Jessica Basi | May 15, 2008 12:12 PM
My taxes were done through my accountant. I received my normal tax return in early March via direct deposit. I also received my stimulus rebate on May 5th. It was nice since this was the first year I got to claim my infant daughter!!! We file jointly every year under my husband's SSN, which ends in 58.
Hope you all get your checks soon!!!!!!!!

Nope, Nada. Filed on April 10th. I checked on the IRS.gov website (you can fill in the info and find out when they sent your stimulous check) but "We are sorry. Specific information about your Stimulus Payment is not available. "

I had filed back in February, and had chosen Direct Deposit. In fact, my refund was processed in less than a week! Surprise, surprise! According to the schedule sent by the IRS, and published by you and countless other news outlets, my rebate should have been in the first wave of deposits; in fact, when the IRS announced they were sending them out even earlier than announced, I started looking for the money on May 5. To date, I have received nothing (as of 5/15). Then I read a story that said that if you filed through a 3rd party (such as Turbo Tax), and had the fee deducted from your refund (which I did), then the IRS couldn't figure out how (my interpretation, not factually reported in the story) to direct deposit the rebate checks, so a paper check would have to be cut. It appears that I should be receiving that check in the first wave of paper checks, which I think is next Friday (5/23). I will be on vacation, and of course, I had been counting on that money to use during my vacation. Never trust the government to give you a straight answer. Is this a great country, or what? Anyhow, I'm no longer holding my breath waiting to receive my 'gift' from the omnipotent IRS (The IRS giveth and the IRS taketh away). I'll believe it when I see it. I guess the motto should be, plan for it, but don't plan ON it.

I completed my return in early February using Turbo Tax and got my refund within 2 weeks but not my rebate yet. It was due on May 9. I tried the 800 number but I can't wait on-hold for an hour or more.
Posted by: Doug | May 15, 2008 12:26 PM
My husband and I did not get our stimulous check, even though I had my refund direct deposited. I was told by the IRS this was because I used H&R block and when the refund came it was deposited into their account, then from there into my account. The Govt would not deposit my rebate check into their account obviously, but as that is all the info H%R block gave them, they have to send me a check - which will not go out until the end of June.
I had been planning to use the $ for my daughters Birthday, and to fix my truck - I now have no transportation, and no money for her birthday - try explaining this to an 8 yr old. :(

yes got money by the exact date Friday May 9th into my checking account. Filed electronically with Turbo Tax online, love them and got money exactly by the date I was supposed to. yes it goes by last 2 of ss#, mine is in the 60's.

No Check. Filed through E-file and had to pay. Paid with electronic debit from my bank account. Don't know if I will get direct deposit or paper chack because I used 3rd party. Good thing I didn't make plans for that $$ :(
Posted by: Kim | May 15, 2008 12:42 PM
Nope, no refund yet (filed on paper back in the beginning of February and I don't expect it until the beginning of July). They sure did cash that check that I sent them quickly, though!
Posted by: BCL | May 15, 2008 12:46 PM
Files in February. No ETR check thus far. Used TurboTax direct deposit, had fee taken from refund, therefore anticipated a paper check. Received notification from IRS that we could expect it arriving by May 16. However today it states it was delivered on the 13th. Not to us!! I'm livid to put it nicely

I got my rebate direct deposited in my account on 5/9. It was for $5. Yes, $5!!! I can't even a sandwich with that; just a gallon of gas! Guess this so called rebate was just another repubican scam. I made about $80K last year, so guess that's "rich" now.

I filed on time with Turbo-tax. They had no problem sweeping the money out of my account on Tax day, but I never did get my rebate check (last two digits of SS are 67). I went on the turbo-tax website to find out that the IRS is sending paper checks to people who owed taxes and had it debited from their account. Of course, this info was never made available at the time of filing. Now I have to wait until the end of June or maybe July for the rebate check. Did this impact me, you bet! I had to pay upfront for camp for my kids and I was counting on that money. This was really mishandled by the IRS as far as I'm concerned.

I think the lesson here is never, ever, under any circumstance, spend money before you have it in your hands.
I filed in mid March through H&R block with a bone dead basic return (I don't own a house, am single, and have no children and won't waste my time with obscure deductions), and am expecting mine at any time, as mine should have gone out with the first batch. It's probably waiting in my mailbox for me. I rec'd my 300$ back from over-paying the IRS already, that I received maybe a week and a half? after my return was filed.
Posted by: Caz | May 15, 2008 1:16 PM
filed in march.. had to pay this year, does that mean stimulus checks arrive in mail?
Posted by: Mary | May 15, 2008 1:25 PM
I consulted H&R Block first and found they only know how to enter numbers you give them and did nothing to help me reduce my suprising tax debt. So, I went back to Turbo Tax and tried to file electronically. My return was rejected because the IRS had a record of someone with my name and/or SSN already filing. The IRS told me to file a paper copy and report the incident. They cashed my $2k payment right away, but I have not seen my rebate deposit. I chose electronic deposit and I should have received my payment on May 9th. Who wants to bet that the IRS has some excuse for not paying me!

I filed myself before April 15. My last digets of SS is 22. Should have gotten it indirect depositon May 9th. It's the 15th and nothing. No person to talk to at IRS.

I filed online with TurboTax on 1/28/08. Partner filed same way but two weeks later. I received a notice for additional taxes due for 2006 and no rebate. Partner received rebate electronically on 4/28/08. I sent in the additional taxes due on 5/3. The check cleared and was debited from my account on 5/9 and that same day my account was credited for the rebate.

You can easily find out where your check is by going to the irs.gov web site. Simply enter the last 4 digits of your social security number and they will give you updated information regarding the status of your check.

I filed my taxes on 1/25/2008 through H&R Block direct deposit to my account - which I received in a week maybe. My social security ends with 28 - and I have not received my stimulus rebate check as of yet. Makes me wonder if I'm on of those that had there monies go to another direct deposit incorrectly as I ready in the news today online. Hmmmm makes me wonder. Oh well , I will patiently wait to see what happens.

I filed mine with Turbo Tax, and was supposed to receive my rebate on May 9. I did not. After calling the IRS and staying on hold for 45 minutes, I found out that anyone who filed electronically BUT CHOSE THE OPTION TO PAY THE FILING FEE OUT OF THE REFUND AMOUNT would NOT be getting an electronic deposit because selecting that option directed your original refund through a third-party bank, and the IRS WILL NOT send rebates to third parties. All of you out there like me will be getting paper checks later in the year as per the social security number associated with your account, and the IRS payment mailing schedule available on their website..

I have not received my rebate check yet. The IRS website says that it should have been deposited on May 9th, but nothing has gone through to my bank yet. I even called my bank to check, but nothing still. I e-filed for free through H&R Block (this was a link given by the IRS website) when I did my 2007 taxes and filed it a couple weeks before the April 15th deadline. My status was 'married filing separately' and my husband received his check already. Calling the IRS rebate hotline is a joke, so I'm not sure how to proceed at this point. I really am confused of my rebate whereabouts.

We got our measly $600 last friday thanks. It was instantly eaten up in bills. Kinda funny that FPL, Comcast and Bank/Credit companies all doubled the size of the bills, either by billing two months at once, applying various fees or by other means. I was only going to throw $300 into bills, and use the rest to finally buy a generator for hurricane season. Sigh.

I should have received the stimulus rebate as of May 9th. When filing for my taxes, the site indicated that I was eligible and how I wanted to receive the rebate, via Direct deposit or mail. Of which I selected direct deposit. I even call the telephone # to receive information based on my SS#. The automated system indicated that there was no information as of this day and time.

I filed electronically through H&R Block and have not recieved any rebate money as of yet. Although, that is probably a good thing. This is not free money people, the IRS will take it back when you file your 2008 taxes. They did it on the last 'so-called' rebate check and I'm certain they will do it for this one.

Filed in Feb. using Turbo Tax direct deposit. I have gotten that refund, but no stimulus check as of yet. Last two digits of SSN 33 according to IRS should have been transmitted no later than 5/9. I'll keep waiting and checking the mail box, cause I can't afford to put gas in the car without it. Funny how I get to STIMULATE the economy by purchasing the product that is killing it in the first place GAS.

No, I haven't. And I'm really confused. I used a tax preparer and we filed online and I was supposed to get my rebate direct deposited. My social security number falls within the 1st group that was supposed to receive the rebate 3 weeks ago. As of today, I have not seen it in my bank. I've also called their 1-800-number and only got a recording saying they couldn't tell me.

I Prepared my taxes with Turbo Tax, I am single, Head of my house, and I have a child, who is my dependent. I do not own anything to the IRS and I only got $300.00.
THE IRS EXPLAINATION:
1) Reason why I did not get the other extra $300.00, because I do not have a child exemption.
2) Reason why did not get the $300.00 for my child, because she was not born after December 31st 1990.
I know people who are friend of mine, that got $600.00, and that person is
1) Single
2) No head of the house
3) No child whatsoever, which means not child exemption, no child credit.
4) And made the same amount of money than me.
In another word, I do not understand their criteria. I think this is a rip off.

Filed using Turbotax. Got rebate via direct deposit for correct amount(1800) around 5/09. I paid the Turbotax filing fee using a credit card.
Posted by: dave2 | May 15, 2008 9:15 PM
First i wanna state that i wasted my time this tax year filing i got $60 from gov & 22 from state. I paid H&R Block a arm & leg to file it direct deposit may i add. I didn't get much of a refund cause my ex husband it was his year to claim our 4 year old & my fiancee claimed our now 5month old, so i got @%$@#!*ed!! So i should have gotten my by may 9 my last two soc is 49 & nothing, my mom & best friend have yet to recieve theirs & they are both suppose to be in the may 9th payment which has come & on. My fiancee did that h&r block direct credit card thing they have its his third year using the same direct card & he has to wait for a check by mail. This stimlus just seems so much like the lottery some people get it & alot don't. Manly the people who need it for fixing their cars, there kids birthdays, much needed trips, buying new clothes, putting some food on the table, fixing up their home & so many other things. It's just not fair, to work so hard for your money, & then think just once you are gonna get rewarded for it in a since & yet alot of people are being screwed out of it. If the government can't pay us when they say they are going to, then why is it okay for them to rob us blind every paycheck, but when they owe us money they take their sweet ass time. That's how i feel about that.

The sentinel did an article a little while back letting people know that if you did your taxes through a tax prep servivce and had their funds taken out from your return, you would get a paper check. The IRS website also explained how you would get your check. Too bad I didn't see either until it was too late because I too was waiting for a direct deposit. I have been laid off for 4 months. I will get my check by the end of June. I wish that would have been explained to people when they were using a tax prep service, then again people might have decided a different method for filing and they would have lost business.

My boyfriend filed his in Feb( with H & R block) he was supposed to get his stimulus check deposited to his account on may 9th he still hasn't gotten his and I filed the same way and mine is supposed to come in may 16th and I havn't seen it yet either . Then I read on the IRS website that if a person had them take the payment for their tax preparer out of their tax refund they will be getting a stimulus check by mail.
So that means my boyfriend wont be getting his until the end of June and I wont be getting mine until the end of July. That's a bunch of crap. We were counting on that money to have already came!!!!
Posted by: Rhonda S | May 15, 2008 9:42 PM
I was suppose to receive the check the first week and have yet seen it.
On top of that, I apparently am not able to get the 300.00 per child credit. I feel that this is unfair. But then again we are talking about the government. Nothing they do makes sense. There is no formula to what they do. They are all over the place.
They want to make sure you payments are in on time or you are penalized, yet when money is to be returned they make all these mistakes and take forever to get it to you.

Ugh, haven't gotten mine either. Was suppose to recieve the money by the 9th, but checked my account and surprise...nada! I filed my taxes with a tax preperation place in LA and it was for direct deposit. This was done in February. Funnily enough, I STILL haven't even recieved my State taxes yet because for some odd, stupid reason, they were having trouble trying to verify my son's child care. Bloody hell...whats up with this government, huh??
So, as of now, I'm unemployed with 12 bucks in my account and no stimulus OR State refund check. Ahhh... how sweet it is to be screwed by the government. Thanks Bush Administration... you so totally rock... =0\

Bloody hell...whats up with this government, huh??
So, as of now, I'm unemployed with 12 bucks in my account and no stimulus OR State refund check. Ahhh... how sweet it is to be screwed by the government. Thanks Bush Administration... you so totally rock... =0\

We filed our tax return on April 12th using Turbo Tax and indicated for our stimulus check to be direct deposited. Based on the IRS's schedule, we should have received ours May 9th. We're still waiting. The Hotline is a joke. You can't talk to a real person and all the automated reply system could tell me was that no information on our stimulus payment was available.
The IRS sure wants their money on time (we authorized and they debited our checking account for what we owed on the 15th), but it's obvious that the same rules don't apply to them giving taxpayers their stimulus checks per the schedule they posted.
Posted by: Lori | May 15, 2008 11:13 PM
I haven't received my stimulus check either and according the the IRS website, it was supposed to have direct deposited May 9. I filed using Turbo Tax. I went on their website to find out about my stimulus status since the Hotline could not give me any info (worthless!). Anyway, below is what I found on Turbo Tax/Intuit's Q&A page:
"When I paid the taxes owed on my 2007 return, I had the IRS debit my checking account. Will the IRS also deposit my rebate there?
No. The IRS says filers who used direct debit will get their payments by paper check in the mail."
So I guess now I have to wait until June or July to receive my money!
Our "wonderful goverment" really loused this program up big time. Is it any wonder the American Public has no confidence in it. But ,then again, I shouldn't be surprised with an establishment that can spend more money than it brings in and pays thousands of dollars for a toilet seat!

No!!-Used Turbo Tax- Pls list further instructions on how to get it sooner...

It seems that for you to received $600.00 you have to pay it first in federal income tax. My taxes for 2007 federal was $650.00. My wife and I qualify for the stimulus check, but only received $650.00. We were looking for $1200.00.
Never once was it mention that the stimulus check was up to $600.00. Again
we get screw. You had to pay over $1200 in federal income tax in 2007
for you and spouse to received your $1200 stimulus check. If you don't have over $1200 in taxes, you get what you paid in taxes.

I filed Feb 1st with Turbo Tax direct deposit. I did get my refund direct deposit on May 2nd.

My wife and I filed our joint tax return online in mid-February with Turbo Tax. We have two young children. According to IRS (and the last two digits of my social security number), I am supposed to receive an $1800 rebate no later than the close of business today, Friday, May 16.
I have received BUBKES.
Posted by: Jim W | May 16, 2008 8:50 AM
Bubkes?
How about bucks?
Let's hope the IRS gets this straightened out.
Posted by: Harriet | May 16, 2008 9:32 AM
Yep, I got mine on the exact date it was due, but it was for only $300 when I was expecting $600.
However, everyone should just be patient and accept what they get - this is "free" money.

I was one of the first ones to do my taxes ..wayyy before the deadline..and I was suppose to get my rebate on may9th ..and I have still not recieved anything and everytime I go to that website www.irs.gov I keep getting the same message that theres no info available.

I filed by returns at the beginning of April using turbo tax. (direct deposit) I still have not recieved my government rebate check. Because of this "glitch" I am unable to use that money to get caught up on bills in this struggling economy.
Posted by: Jessica Worrell | May 16, 2008 9:36 AM
I filed our return in January, via Turbo Tax and rec'd my refund via Direct Dep. I recently got a letter from the IRS stating instead of our 1200.00 we were only getting 600.00 and it would be by paper check via the US mail. Very frustrating.....
Posted by: Deborah Crocetti, LMFT | May 16, 2008 9:42 AM
Ridiculous the people complaining. The govt. is giving out free money--use some patience.... If you planned to pay bills with it and don't have it yet then you have no one to blame but yourself. Your bills should be paid by your normal paycheck. This is EXTRA money, not to replace what you should pay yourself.
And yes, I filed electronically with HRBlock, direct deposit, got the stimulus rebate on the exact date that the IRS said I would.
And people posting here, don't tell everybody what the last two numbers of your social security are!!!!!
Posted by: Eileen | May 16, 2008 9:43 AM
Not only did I get mine on the promised date, so did my son. For us, it's been no problem at all. We mailed in our taxes but had them direct deposited.
Posted by: Gayle | May 16, 2008 9:56 AM
Good'ol Common Sense would tell you that you can't get a tax rebate on what you didn't pay in. My Dad, paper filed, only got $300 because that was his total tax liab. last year. He was expecting more for some unknown reason.
We e-filed through turbo tax on 4/1, got our refund direct deposited 3 days later, and got our rebate (last 2 is 68) May 9th.
My friend paper filed 4/7 with direct deposit refund, and she got her rebate (last 2 is 86) today.

I used Turbo Tax and received my rebate, auto deposit, in my account on 5/9/08. As already posted, if you paid for your tax services using your initial tax refund, It goes thru a second party, wich slow's down your payment. I paid for my electronic filing with a credit card.

I used Turbo Tax and had direct deposit and I received my check of 600.00.

We filed our tax return in early February, but because legislation had not passed on the Hope or Lifetime credit for students, we were told to mail our returns February 10th. We used Turbo Tax online and because of additional paperwork that needed to be sent in, we didn't file electronically, but signed and mailed in the return. We received our refund by direct deposit within a few weeks. On our joint return my SSN came first, which is in the last direct deposit batch and this morning we checked our account and our rebate was received.
I wonder if anyone received their refund check as early as April 30th, which the President promised was going to happen in order to ease the pressure of rising food costs and gas prices. Everyone I spoke to received their rebates on the original dates that IRS set.
I hope all discrepancies will be sorted out and we'll all get what was promised to us. Have a great weekend.

We got ours 5/9. We had filed our taxes by mailing a hard copy sometime in mid to late March with our refund check deposited automatically about 10 days later.
Posted by: Linda | May 16, 2008 10:16 AM
I have not received my check yet. I received the notice that says I should get it by 5/16/08 so I hope it is in today. However, some sites say that it will be mailed out on may 16 and wait 3 to 5 days, some say that it was mailed out on may 9. Very confusing, next time I will not spend money that is not in my hands.

Have used TurboTax for many years, always works well, if you input properly and follow the instructions.
Apparently, your readers are illiterate like many Floridians, and probably drive like idiots like so many that I observe on I95 and local streets talking on their cell phones at 80 mph.
I got my direct deposit refund 3 weeks after filing and rebate last week.

I used my accountant and filed my taxes in Mid-March using Efile and using direct deposit for refund. I got my tax refund in 3 weeks and I got my stimulus ck via direct deposit on 5/2. Easy as pie!!!
Posted by: bubba | May 16, 2008 10:27 AM
We have not recevied our rebate as of this date and we should have received it last week. However to add insult to injury, the account to which our tax refund went has been closed (due to fraud) and we have changed banks. I have no way to let the IRS know this so they can not change their records. I believe this means we will eventually get a paper check. . .it is earmarked for plane tickets to NY for a family reunion. I hope I get it in time.

Filed with a CPA electronically in February. Received rebate and stimulus payment on dates posted in my account, but stimulus payment was $600 for a joint filing. Not everyone is getting what the news reported- use the IRS calculator to see for sure.

I received my check last Friday...direct deposit. Only ONE MAJOR PROBLEM...my check is short by $600 for my 2 eligible children. IRS claims they were no children on my return. Wrong...I have 3 children and 2 that meet the requirements. GOOD LUCK getting through to the IRS. All you get is a recording...cannot speak to anyone. So until someone contacts me from IRS....i'm screwed.

I filed on the last day of the filing deadline on April 15th using H&R Block online filing. (Very user friendly and cheap). I got my stimulus check through direct deposit three days in advance of my due date, beating out my sister who used the same method and filed way earlier than me in February. What a great country!

I filed my taxes thru the irs website. I do owe a small amount to federal, but it's only half of the supposed rebate amount. My last two digits of my ssn are 02, so mine should have been mailed to me 2 weeks ago, but nothing. I keep checking the irs website for the status of my rebate and it just tells me that it has no info at this time, but none of the reasons for this that are listed apply to me. I really need that money because I am unemployed and my unemployment is about to run out.

I filed my taxes the old fashion way, by mail, except I entered my account number for direct deposit...just like I was supposed to get it....my stimulus was in my account when I woke up this morning.

I filed the end of january and recieved my income tax check the second week of february. I recieved a letter telling me my rebate check was deposited into my account on May 9th but I had to close the account my taxes where direct deposited into due to theft. So there was no account to direct deposit my rebate into. IRS says its in the bank. the bank says its not..so I'm in limbo waiting..I was to told to call weekly due to the fact that they update weekly.

My wife and I both work and received W2's (no children). I used Turbo Tax and submitted our return online on April 14th (Married Filing Jointly). It was confirmed received and accepted by the IRS two days later. We had a refund of about $787 and opted for direct deposit. It was deposited into our account about nine days after the return was accepted, and the $1200 rebate was deposited one week ago (Friday May 9th). It seems like the IRS is working much faster when everything is done electronically. ~Michael

I filed my taxes prepared with Turbo Tax prior to 4/15 and had the taxes due along with the estimated taxes w/d from my checking account on 4/14. The IRS had no problem taking the money out of my account. Since my SS# ends w/14,I thought I would receive my stimulus check by direct deposit (since they had my checking account number) on May 9th. When I did not receive it after a week, I went to the IRS stimulus site and was informed that it would be mailed 5/23 for 270.72. My AGI was less than 75,000 thus I believe it should be 600. I tried several numbers listed on the sites I visited and the phone numbers listed only gave VM messages. One of them suggested I go to the local IRS office. (It is about 40 miles away and with the price of gas, I do not think so!). I will try the number listed in the Sun Sentinel next week and hope that I can speak to a real person without holding for a long period of time as was mentioned in the blog.

I filed in mid-February. According to my accountant I should have received a direct deposit. This, according to the tax department, would have been 5/16, as my SSN ends in 72. It is the 20th and I have nothing yet. I also went to the tax site and inserted all information asked for. According to that, I should get $300.00--I should have $300.00 as of 5/16.

I used Tax Cut to file my tax for direct deposit and it was on March 15.2008, It was a joint return and I did get the first deposit for $600 in my account but not the second one, I read that the IRS has said it would be June or July before they are sent due to their screw up in sending to some wrong bank accounts etc, which is not a surprise.

I filed our taxes (Married filing joint) in April. I received my tax refund for 2007 on May 2 via direct deposit. My last two SSN digits place me in the first group who should have recieved their rebate. Yesterday (5/21) I checked the IRS website to check progress of my rebate check; I instead received an automated note that said I was ineligible for the stimulus check because either me or my wife had an invalid SSN number. I checked my records and found that I had reversed two digits of my wife's SSN on our 1040. I called the IRS to correct this error and was told that they could correct her SSN, I would not receive a stimulus check this year because stimulus payments are based on the initial filing. I was told that when I file 2008 taxes next year that I would be able to collect the stimulus on my 2008 return. Has anyone else heard this?

I filed tax return with Turbo Tax in mid Feb. Got my refund within 2weeks,but have not received the rebate check yet. When filing tax return, i had all the processing taken out of my refund. P.S. I had to use my U.S.citizenship certificate to get a school loan this year because the S.S.dept. could no longer identify my SS#. Unbelieveable!! After 20years of living in the States!?!!? Does this have anything to do with my rebate check?

they will not have much of an effect on the economy as originally intended

I filed my tax return with HR Block in March, recieved refund two weeks later. I was expecting my rebate check by Saturday June 7th since according to the schedule my last digits are 37 and the check should be issued on the June 6th. Well I just received the letter yesterday June 10th notifying me that my check will be issued by June 6th and as of today June 11th I have not received. I called the IRS 1-800-829-0582 x462 and was told that my check will be issued on June 13th, I asked why I received a letter stating my check was issued June 6th, she apologized and said I was correct my check was issued on June 6th, I did not believe her, she did not sound to bright, I believe she may have been telling the truth and that my check will not be mailed until June 13th. All I know is the entire process is very frustating, I have 2 kids and money is very tight, needed the money yesterday!!!!

I filed my taxes in Feb. of 2008 and I got my tax refund back but I did not get my stimulus check. I did receive a letter in the mail stating I would get my stimulus money, but never did. Later on I looked over my tax forms because I always make copies, and noticed that I forgot to check the box or put one in the box for the exemptions part so I made a mistake on my taxes in order to receive the stimulus money. How do I correct my taxes so that I can get my rebate? I am a single mom with a newborn and could use a little bit of extra cash.
