In an effort to help consumers find resources to survive the current economic recession, Americans for Fairness in Lending (affil.org), a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting predatory lending and myself are co-hosting the National Consumer Empowerment Conference and Expo on Nov. 21.
The event, designed to unite consumers with advocates, attorneys and consumer protection industry experts from around the country, will feature 2 panels of experts that will speak and respond to questions from attendees on a variety of consumer financial matters, then meet with your advocates and consumer attorney experts one-on-one!
Topics include abusive debt collection practices, Fair Credit Reporting Act issues, identity theft, predatory lending, mortgage servicing, lender errors, cyber crime, plus foreclosure defenses, bankruptcy and much more.
The current financial crisis and mortgage industry meltdown has affected the entire nation, but the state of Florida was one of the hardest hit. This event is designed to help you find solutions and knowledge that will empower you to overcome this weakened economy!
The free event, open to the public, will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach Hotel located at 4000 South Ocean Drive.
