A person was grazed by a bullet in the 5600 block of South Bishop Street Friday night, Chicago Police Officer David Banks said.

Banks said the shooting took place at about 9:15 p.m.

Preliminary reports said the victim was not seriously injured, Banks said, and  police could not confirm the age or gender of the victim.

But a police source said the victim was a 12-year-old girl.

The same source said the incident was drug-related and the girl was an innocent bystander.

Banks said a blue car sped from the scene. Police are investigating.
