A man was charged with criminal damage to property after he tried to punch someone at a Libertyville bar but missed and broke a window, police said Tuesday.
Patrick Gibbs, 40, of the 1100 block of Loyola Drive in Libertyville allegedly knocked out a window at the Island Tap, 112 E. Cook Ave., about 1 a.m. Sunday during an altercation with another bar patron. He was released with a notice to appear in court Oct. 8, police said.
