These are the major flood-related road closures this morning, according to WGN-Radio's traffic desk:
The eastbound Borman Expressway (I-80/94) in northwest Indiana remains closed between the Illinois state line and State Road 51 in Lake County. Westbound I-80/94 is closed between State Road 49 in Porter County and the Illinois state line.
Also in Indiana, northbound I-65 between U.S. 24 in Jasper County and I-80-94 in Lake County is closed. All traffic is directed to take U.S. 24 west to I-57 in Illinois to bypass flooding.
In Schaumburg, Braintree is closed at Weathersfield, Knightsbridge is closed at Jones, State Parkway is closed from Tower-Plum Grove, and Rodenburg is closed between Irving and Central.
In Plainfield, Caton Farm Road is blocked from Interstate Highway 55 to Route 59.
In Des Plaines, the only east-west streets that are open are Dempster, Touhy and Devon. The only north-south roads that are passable are Wolf, Elmhurst and Mt. Prospect.
In Hammond, River Drive at West 165th Avenue is closed.
In Highland, Ind., southbound U.S. Hwy. 41 is flooded at the Little Calumet River, but northbound is open.In Chicago, Michigan Avenue is both directions is closed at East 127th Street to 130th and Indiana.
In Northfield, Winnetka Avenue between Hibbard Road and West Frontage Road is closed.
In Lyons, 1st Avenue northbound between Ogden Avenue and 31st Street is closed.
In Naperville, Washington Street is closed between Royce Road and Weber Road.
In Peotone, U.S. 45 south of Wilmington-Peotone Road is closed.
In Chicago, Avers at West Foster Avenue is closed. Foster is also blocked at Kimball. The CTA No. 92 Foster bus has been rerouted.
