Chicago police on Saturday were searching for the gunman or gunmen who killed a 56-year-old man in the West Englewood neighborhood.
Witnesses reported hearing gunfire in 5500 block of South Winchester Avenue around 9:45 p.m. Friday and discovered a man with gunshot wounds to his head and shoulder, according to Chicago police.
The victim, who died later of his wounds, was identified as Ivory Anderson, who lived in the 5200 block of South Winchester, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Police said they are investigating and no one is in custody.
Also, a 17-year-old was shot in the back Friday night in the Englewood neighborhood, Chicago police said.
The teen, who was in the 2000 block of West 70th Street at 8:23 p.m., told authorities he was walking, heard shots fired and then felt pain.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in stable condition, police said Saturday.
Police said no suspects are in custody and the investigation continues.
