A Chicago police officer was bitten Thursday afternoon by a woman during a traffic stop in the West Pullman neighborhood, police said.
The incident occurred about 1:15 p.m. in the 11900 block of South Stewart Avenue. The woman bit the officer on an arm, Police Officer John Mirabelli said.
Paramedics took the officer in stable condition to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, he said. No information was immediately available on the reason for the traffic stop or on the woman.
