Spots going fast for temple's yard sale/fundraising event

Temple Beth Shira’s second yard sale and fundraising event is from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 7 at Spanish River Community High School, 5100 Jog Road, and space is going fast.
“We had the first one in the Wal-Mart parking lot about seven months ago, and everything went beautifully. With the Spanish River location, we were able to offer more vendor spaces, but I’m pretty sure they will be gone in a few days,” said temple communications director Rick Alovis.
There is room for 200 vendors, and Alovis said they have also donated several spaces to area nonprofits and high schools. Temple Beth Shira is a member of the Union For Reform Judaism, and the funds will be used to support expanding programs, the religious school and community outreach initiatives.
“It’s not all about the fundraising though, and it is a great day to come out and meet people from the local community,” said Alovis.
