Boca Raton Fire Rescue Explorers Post #315 made a strong showing at the recent Explorer Conference and Challenge at the Coral Springs Fire Academy. Eleven teams competed in the event, and public information officer Frank Correggio said the team practiced three times a week for three months for the competition.
“These events help to promote teamwork and help test the team’s skill in Hose Deployment, Search and Rescue, Ladder Raise, Combat Challenge, Trauma, First Aid & CPR and other events,” he said. The Explorers won three first place trophies, two second place trophies and came in third for overall points.
