Back to School Breakfast to honor Jan Savarick
Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation President Jan Savarick will be honored by the American Association of Caregiving Youth at the “Back to School Breakfast” Aug. 21. Savarick is being recognized as an advocate for partnerships that provide opportunities for students, especially related to their healthcare, and for championing the needs of students who are the caregivers in their families.
Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the Caregiving Youth Project, a program of AACY that offers services to middle and high school children who care for ill, injured, elderly or disabled family members.
“We are proud of Jan for being honored by the AACY in this manner,” said Jerry Fedele, president and CEO of Boca Raton Regional Hospital. “This is just one in a number of accolades she has received that recognize her ongoing contributions to both the community and to our Hospital.”
Savarick joined the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation in 2001. As president, she oversees all fundraising activities, including capital, annual and planned giving campaigns, corporate giving, donor relations, community awareness, major gifts and special events.
In addition to her role at Boca Regional, Ms. Savarick has been extremely active in the community, sitting on a number of not-for-profit boards and committees, including the School of Social Work at Florida Atlantic University, Hillel of Broward & Palm Beach and Donna Klein Jewish Academy, where she is an honorary council member and past [resident. She was named one of South Florida’s Most Influential Business Women of 2012 and a 2013 Palm Beach County Ultimate CEO by the South Florida Business Journal.
