County plant sale in Creek

Broward County will be sponsoring a plant sale to teach residents about and encourage residents to grow native Florida plants.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, Fern Forest Nature Center, 201 Lyons Rd. South, in Coconut Creek will have a Spring Into Gardening Native Plant Sale, which emphasizes the right kinds of plants to grow in your home landscape. A variety of native plant nurseries and vendors will display and sell plants native to South Florida and other plants conducive to butterfly and wildlife gardening.
