Margate Presents Free Educational Program to Residents

Margate is offering an eight-week interactive citizen’s academy program called “Margate Community College.” The program will be accepting applications from residents and business owners over the age of 18 who want to learn how the city government works.

Employees of Margate, including the city manager, department directors, and other city staff will host the sessions beginning Tuesday, May 1 and will run every Tuesday for eight weeks. A second fall semester is scheduled to begin Tuesday, October 2. The program is free to the 20 students accepted into the program. Classes run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and a light dinner will be served.
