Poet to visit North Broward Preparatory School

Poet Taylor Mali will be on the North Broward Preparatory School campus Monday, April 23, to speak to middle and high school students throughout the day. He will be preforming several original works, as well as offering a writing workshop after school in The Learning Commons for both students and faculty.

Mali is the former president of Poetry Slam Inc., the non-profit organization that oversees all poetry slams in North America, and he makes his living entirely as a spoken-word and voice over artist. He has narrated several books on tape and has been on the HBO series Def Poetry Jam, among other things.
