Atlantic Technical Center group wins awards

The Business Professionals of America (BPA) at Atlantic Technical Center and Technical High School went to the National Conference in Chicago from April 25 through 29 and competed against 6,000 high school students from around the nation. Students from the school won awards and placed well during the competition.

The awards earned are as follows:
• National Quality Chapter of Distinction for 2011-2012
• National Ambassador Award, the highest level of national distinction for BPA and community involvement, went to Danielle Coley and Haithuy Pham
• 1st place in the nation, Advanced Spreadsheet Applications- Danielle Coley
• Third place in the nation, Global Marketing Team- Treshauna Price, Derica Reed, Angela Ruge, and Dexter Stewart
• Top 10 medalist, Interview Skills- Brittany Blackshire
• Top Ten Medalists, Small Business Management Team- Danielle Coley, Adriana Henao, Darian Kessler, and Greg Manestar
• Top 10 medalist, Advanced Interview Skills and Administrative Office and Support- Adriana Henao
• Top 10 medalist , Advanced Office Systems and Procedures- Brandon Weiss
