Dog tethering law in Creek

Coconut Creek Commissioners will be voting on an ordinance about tethering of pets on June 14, with the meeting starting at 7 p.m. Tethering is the act of roping, chaining, or tying an animal to a fixed object so as to limit its range of movement.

You can read the proposed ordinance here. The underlined sections on page 2 are proposed new language and the strike-throughs on pages 2 and 3 are proposed deletions to the existing ordinance.

The commission would like your comments and opinions. Click here to fill out a short survey.
