Davie police open new training facility

The Davie Police Department recently had a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open its new gun range training facility at 1230 S. Nob Hill Road.

Police Chief Patrick Lynn and his command staff conducted tours and answered questions for visitors. The state-of-the-art facility has a target range, training room, offices and control room. The facility was funded by money seized from criminals.

Before the gun range opened, Davie officers would use Markham Park's shooting range in Sunrise.
