Davie installing traffic light cameras

Davie has begun phase 2 of the Red Light Camera Safe Intersections Program.

The cameras will soon begin taking photos of red-light runners at the below intersections.

- Northbound and southbound University Drive at Stirling Road
- Eastbound and westbound Stirling Road at Davie Road
- Westbound Stirling Road at University Drive

Cameras will capture still images and video of red-light running violations. Once the cameras are operational, a 30-day warning period will commence. During this period, a warning notice will be issued to the vehicle’s registered owner and there will be no fine. At the completion of the warning period, notice of violations will be issued with a fine for any red light running violation.

A vehicle owner who receives a notice of violation can visit www.violationinfo.com for additional information regarding their options.
