Growl Prowl set in Davie

Flamingo Gardens, 3750 S. Flamingo Rd. in Davie, is hosting Growl! and the Growl Prowl Full Moon Tour on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The day will spotlight panthers, bobcats and bears with special habitat talks throughout the day. Kids are asked to bring their favorite stuffed animal and join in the Teddy Bear Picnic and Parade on the Wray Lawn. The event will also feature a scavenger hunt, story time, games and more. Regular hours are 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Gather at the rookery at 5 p.m. for the full moon tour. You'll learn about the hundreds of birds that fly in to roost for the evening there, and Animal Care staff will then give a guided tour to the back of the panther and bear exhibits for their evening meals, followed by a moonlight tour of the gardens.
