Deerfield Beach High School has Four 2011 Arts for the Future Scholarship Winners

Four Deerfield Beach High School seniors are among the 53 to be honored on March 8 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale. The 13th Annual Stars on Parade is at the Amaturo Theater, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, located in the Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District, 201 S.W. Fifth Ave. in Fort Lauderdale, and the annual celebration, free, and open to the public, features solo and ensemble dance, music and theater performances by outstanding district arts students. .

All four Deerfield Beach High School students are being honored for their work in visual arts: Aurosia Nguyen, Katherine Oliver, Wolfe Presume and Lucas Silva. Rose Miniaci, the South Florida philanthropist who underwrote the scholarships and numerous other arts programs in South Florida, will receive the Arts for the Future Scholarship Fund's 2012 Arts Education Spirit Award.
