North Broward Area's Relay for Lifers Set Events

On Friday, Publicity Chair Bruce Smith invites supporters to Hockey Fights Cancer, billed as “an exciting night of NHL hockey in support of the American Cancer Society & Relay for Life.” Two weeks later, it's a chance to eat and drink and raise money for the American Cancer Society at the Boca Raton Children's Museum.
But first things first. On October 25, hockey lovers, cancer survivors, and supporters of the American Cancer Society are invited to the BBT Arena in Sunrise. There, a $10 ticket buys a night of NHL hockey while supporting the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life. Cancer survivors, those battling cancer and their families will be recognized. The Jumbotron is reserved for Relay for Life teams in attendance. Tickets are available at Duffy’s Sky Club, with buffet, beer, wine and soda for $67; at Lower Bowl Endzones for $48 each; at Club level Endzones for $44 each and in the sideline Balcony for $27 each. Each ticket purchased with the promo code ACS will result in a $10 contribution to the American Cancer Society as well as to the Deerfield Beach/Lighthouse Point/Hillsboro Beach Relay for Life team.
Can't get excited about hockey? On November 7, a Thursday, wine lovers can gather at the Boca Raton Children’s Museum. There, organizer Delcenia Jones, aka the South Florida Wine Diva, promises four sparkling wines, each paired with a complementary sample of dessert.
