Fall is a busy time at Temple Anshei Shalom in Delray Beach

Temple Anshei Shalom has scheduled its Rosh Hashanah dinner at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29 at the temple, 7099 W. Atlantic Ave.

Choices for dinner are brisket, chicken or salmon. The donation dinner is $27 for temple members, $30 for nonmembers.

“Start Rosh Hashanah in a great way, with great foods and wonderful friends. Hag Sameach!” said Millie Grant, spokeswoman for Temple Anshei Shalom.

Reservations for the dinner can be made from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday 9:30am to 11:30am in the Temple Anshei Shalom lobby. Reservations also can be made by calling the temple at 561-495-1300.

In addition, Grant said, bingo is back at the temple starting at 1:30 p.m. on the first and third Sundays of the month. Refreshments will be served, cost is $12 for 12 games. Call 561-495-1300.

Grant also is planning a book drive with all proceeds going to the Young Judeah Children At Risk in South Florida and Israel. More than 400 books and magazines have been collected and will be sold at three area locations in mid-November for $1 apiece.

The first book sale is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 17 and 18 in front of 3 G’s Gourmet Deli, 5869 W. Atlantic Ave. For information on the sale, call Millie Grant at 561-495–6005.
