'Rock for Barack' at fundraisers set for Saturday in Delray Beach

Volunteers for the Barack Obama campaign have scheduled two events in Delray Beach on Saturday, Sept. 27.

An “Outdoor BBQ Rally - Delray Beach for Obama” begins at 3 p.m. at Kofeeokee, 271 NE Sixth Ave. in Delray Beach.

It will feature three hours of live classic rock music with The Affordables. Free beverages, a silent auction with a table of gifts and prizes, a 50/50 raffle, guest speakers, voter registration, and Obama literature and merchandise will be offered. Suggested donation for this event is $10.

The "Rock for Barack Concert" is at 7 p.m. at the Delray Beach Playhouse, 950 NW Ninth St. The concert will last four hours, featuring live music by several bands headlined by the Fabulous Fleetwoods.

Food, beverages, raffle tickets, and Barack Obama merchandise will be offered for sale. Advance tickets are available at the Obama campaign office,14357 N. Military Trail in Delray Beach. Minimum donation for the event is $20.

“We are going to rock out for Barack," said Scott Satalino, host of the event. "We will be filming a video during portions of this event, so bring your message of change with you.”
