Hadassah chapter's book sale raises money for Israeli children

Stanley Kramer of Delray Beach looks through the titles of more than 900 books on sale at the Publix at Shops of San Marco, 13860 S. Jog Road, in Delray Beach. The recycled books are on sale to help raise money for the Hadassah supported Youth Aliyah/Children at Risk helping Israel's disadvantaged children.

Volunteers from L’or Vizcaya Hadassah are selling books from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 25 and 26.
“The money raised is being sent to Israel to help children in distress,” L’or Vizcaya Hadassah President Helene Mendelson said.
Mendelson said the goal was to raise $500.
“We’ve already raised $1,250,” she said.
Paperback books are 50 cents, and hardbound books are $1.
