Big crowds and sunshowers at opening of Delray Affair

Despite breezy conditions and sunshowers, the crowds at the 2012 Delray Affair are huge.

New at the Delray Affair is two more blocks of vendors that now extends to the intersection of Southwest Second Avenue and West Atlantic Avenue and 200 more vendors for a total of 800.

Delray Affair executive director Nancy Stewart said she expects 300,000 people to attend the Delray Affair April 13 through 15, providing a $21 million boost to the local economy.

Delray Affair hours are until 6 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
