Earth Day in Hollywood

Yesterday, Nativity Catholic School had an Earth Walk around Chaminade Drive in Hollywood to raise community awareness on reducing carbon emissions and global warming through alternate forms of transportation.

The walk is part of a week-long set of activities geared toward protecting the environment.

"Earth Week has become a Nativity tradition. The entire school community helps support our annual Heifer Project, and students enjoy each of the week's activities -- along with the knowledge that they are doing something to help and protect our planet," Elena Ortiz, the school's principal.

A slide show of the event can be viewed below.
