The YMCA of Broward County recently hosted its annual Healthy Kids Day.

The free event assisted families who struggle to lead healthy lifestyles.

“We are thrilled with how well Healthy Kids Day turned out,” said Sheryl Woods, CEO of the YMCA of Broward County. “The crowds were entertained by great music, educated by important news and literature, inspired to embrace new concepts, and challenged to make important lifestyle changes.”

Activities included a parent/child obstacle course, swim safety education, nutrition information, Y sports for all ages, and aerobic demonstrations.

Healthy Kids Day was held at the Greater Hollywood YMCA Family Center, the Parkland YMCA Family Center, the Sheinberg Family YMCA of Weston, and at two Fort Lauderdale locations -- the L.A. Lee YMCA Family Center and the Children’s Advocacy YMCA at Rock Island Elementary.
