Diamonds in the Rough program in Hollywood

Today, I visited the Orangebrook Golf and Country Club where youngsters in the Diamonds in the Rough Youth program practice.

The organization was established in 1999 by then-Hollywood Assistant City Manager Cameron Benson with the mission to ensure that all youth, regardless of social or economic background, have an opportunity to learn and play the game of golf.

You can watch a slide show of today's visit below.

I serve on the board of Diamonds in the Rough with a group of caring and dedicated people.
The smiling faces on those children and the knowledge that they will become better adults because of our efforts in supporting this wonderful cause are our rewards.
