Free pit bull spaying or neutering program in Broward

pitbull.jpg

Broward County Animal Care has teamed up with local veterinary clinics to provide free spaying/neutering for the first 500 pit bulls and pit bull mix dogs whose owners sign them up for the surgery.

The services will be available to all Broward residents who own an American pit bull terrier, American staffordshire terrier, staffordshire bull terrier; American bulldog or any dog mixed with any of these breeds.

Residents can obtain a special SPOT Spay Day Application at Broward.org/animal. Once the application is sent in, a voucher will be mailed for use at a participating veterinary clinic. Other pets, such as cats and other breeds of dogs, can be listed on the application, but a $10 co-pay will apply to those pets at the time of surgery.
