Senior Center stages Antiques and Collectibles Show

For two days this month, the Southwest Focal Point Senior Center, 301 NW 103rd Ave., is transforming into something resembling a museum.

During the center’s semiannual Antiques and Collectibles Show in partnership with Hollywood Antiques and Collectibles Club, several dozen booths will offer handfuls of heirlooms, family valuables, Depression glassware and even baseball card collections as dozens of vendors stuff their spaces with antique wares.

If you’re missing that “Please Please Me” Beatles LP record or a vintage Batman lunchbox, the collectible’s show has the hookup from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18.

For those not interested in antiques, there will also be an orchid dealer outside the center. Admission to tour the center’s museum of pop artifacts and crafts is $3.

For more information, call 954-593-0654.
