Chapel Trail to host community-wide garage sale
Every November, homeowners from one of Pembroke Pines’ largest ‘burbs cracks open their garage doors in unison and plunks down wares on the front lawn.
The mounds of secondhand treasures signals the launch of the annual Chapel Trail Community Garage Sale, which runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 7 and Nov. 8 across every subdivision.
The season, the most active hotspots to catch piles of assorted memorabilia range from Chapel Oaks, Kensington, Kensington Park and Chapel Lake Estates, said Pat Decillis, a local real estate agent and garage sale coordinator.
Treasure hunters seeking unwanted baseball cards, “I Love Lucy” lunchboxes, or other pop culture knickknacks might hit the jackpot among the jumble of cookware, toys and unwanted items.
For more information, call Decillis at 954-306-4431, or visit www.chapeltrailgaragesale.com.

The garage sale needs to go away, every year it comes around and brings the wrong element to our neighborhoods. This year my daughter had to witness a woman outside her window urinate. The traffic is always a problem I had to drive up on the sidewalk to get out of my community. If people are looking to get rid of their junk let them give it to goodwill and get the tax credit it will probably put more money in there pocket than the five cents people want to pay for these items.
