Pembroke Pines resident wins ADHD scholarship

A Pembroke Pines resident is part of a small group of nationwide recipients of a scholarship from bio pharmaceutical company Shire.

Like the other recipients, Michael Danis lives with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD. Shire set up a scholarship for individuals with ADHD and selected 50 recipients out of more than 1,400 applicants nationwide. The scholarship includes a $2,000 award and a year of ADHD coaching services.
