Pembroke Pines community center hosting flea market

The Pembroke Pines Southwest Focal Point Community Center will be hosting a weekend-long flea market next month.

The flea market will run Feb. 2-3 at the center, 301 NW 103rd Ave. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 2 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 3. More than 100 vendors will be participating.

Pembroke Pines community center hosting dance

A Pembroke Pines community center will be hosting a dance and dinner buffet.

The "Time of Your Life" dance starts at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Southwest Focal Point Community Center, 301 NW 103rd Ave. Tickets are $10. The buffet dinner begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the dance at 6:30.

Pembroke Pines hosting free jazz concert

Pembroke Pines will soon be starting its 2013 series of free monthly jazz concerts.

The first in the series will run from 3 to 5 p.m. Jan. 27 at the William B. Armstrong Dream Park, 1700 Dykes Road. Attendees can bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. Food will be available for purchase.
