With Halloween commencing Friday, residents wishing to get into the spirit early can do so, starting today.

From 6 to 8:30 p.m., Pompano Beach will present a Halloween Party at the Mitchell/Moore Center, 901 NW 10th Ave. Along with refreshments, games, activities and prizes awarded for costumes, the center’s gym will be transformed into a Haunted House featuring ghosts and goblins.

The following night, Pompano’s annual Halloween Fun Fair will last from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Amphitheater Parking Lot, 1801 NE Sixth St.
Featured activities include a bounce house, rock climbing wall, spin art, games, food, refreshments, an antique fire truck, face painting and more. Entrance is $2 per child or two canned goods, which the city will donate to Our Father’s House Soup Kitchen.

From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Lighthouse Point will present its Halloween Party at Dan Witt Park, 4521 NE 22nd Ave. The event is free and features games and a costume party for children.

For adults wishing to get into the spirit, Women and Wishes, a nonprofit group dedicated to assisting women with emotional, educational and economic support, will organize a Masquerade Party at 7 p.m. Saturday, at the Pompano Citi Centre, 1955 N. Federal Highway.
