Pompano beach to host piano competition for children

More than 150 children from around South Florida are expected to compete in 15th annual Children in The Arts Piano Competition in Pompano Beach Feb. 28.

Participants are selected based on ability and there is no charge to enter the competition. The top three winners in each category will be selected to perform in a recital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Emma Lou Olson Civic Center, 1801 NE Sixth St. with light refreshments to follow.
The concert is free and open to the public.
