Pompano Beach joins Facebook

To help connect residents to the city using the Internet, Pompano Beach recently signed up for Facebook, a social networking Web site.

The city joined the free-access Web site to better connect and interact with residents. Once residents sign-up on the Web site, they can become a “fan” of the city and will immediately begin receiving updates on city news and events. Participants can also post comments and recommendations on what they would like the city to do.

The Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce is also a member of Facebook.
