Any resident wishing to help save someone’s life will have a chance during a blood donation drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at American Legion Post #142, 171 SW Second St.

The blood drive is being sponsored by The Community Blood Centers of South Florida, which will help replenish supplies. For more information, call 954-942-2448.

While I am no fan of needles, I think giving blood is the easiest thing you can do to save a life and encourage anyone with time to stop by. I know I always feel like I helped somebody out when I donate.

Anybody care to share how they feel after giving blood?
