America’s Moms for Soldiers in need of donations

America’s Mom’s for Soldiers, a non-profit organization is seeking everyday donations to be mailed to soldiers overseas, who often don’t receive mail because they have no family.

Currently, the organization serves more than 450 soldiers, which is expected to expand to 1,000 during the summer. Donations include socks, deodorant, sunscreen, chap stick, foot powder and baby wipes. The items are then shipped to the soldiers and includes a letter and prayer to each solider.

There are now permanent drop-off locations in Pompano Beach from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at Angel Hair by Mary, 1646 E. Atlantic Blvd., and from 9 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. at Di’s Sub Shop, 300 SW 12th Ave.
