For children looking for one last activity before the school year starts, Pompano Beach is offering a Simply Soccer Camp from Aug. 17 through 21 at Community Park, 2001 NE 10th St.

The camp helps teach children various soccer skills and also includes swimming. The camp is for children ages 5 to 14 of all skills levels. Registration is ongoing at the Emma Lou Olson Center, 1801 NE Sixth St. and you do not have to be a Pompano Beach resident to participate.

The three sessions are $115 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., $130 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and there is a Tiny Tot session for children ages 5 and 6 for $60 from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants must bring a soccer ball, swimsuit, shin guards, water bottle and lunch.
