Pompano Beach to offer dog obedience classes

For residents who just can’t seem to get their dog to behave, the Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Department is offering dog obedience classes.

The classes begin at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 12 and will run every Wednesday for six weeks at North Broward Park, 4400 NE 18th Ave.

Registration is currently open with an $80 fee for Pompano Beach residents and $85 for non-residents.

Instructor Sue Blood will be leading the program and participants are asked to bring a six-foot nonretractable leash and dogs must have their current shots and can be as young as four months old.

For more information, call 954-363-3313.
