Pompano Beach’s magazine wins national award

Trade Winds of Pompano Beach, the city’s residential magazine recently won a national award at the 2009 City-County Communications and Marketing Association Savvy Awards held in September in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Trade Winds won the Silver Circle Award in the Printed Publications Magazine category given to cities with populations of 17,000 to 2,700,000. The Savvy Awards are held annually and are meant to recognize local governments for its work in communication, marketing and resident-government relations.

The semi-annual issues of Trade Winds feature news and pictures on the City Commission, health, history, events, and emergency information within the city and can be viewed online at the city’s Web site.
