Aging and Disability Resource Center needs financial support

The Sunrise-based Aging and Disability Resource Center, the prime funding body for services benefiting the needs of more than 337,629 senior residents of Broward County, is asking the community for financial support.

The nonprofit organization is currently on a waiting list for a majority of its in-home services, as well as other programs for frail elders. It expects cuts in state funding.

The center is asking the community to make a difference and help to assure the merited rights of older Americans to live their retirement years with dignity.

Tax deductible donations can be made payable to: Areawide Council on Aging, and send to: Attn: Seniors for Seniors Dollar Drive, 5300 Hiatus Road, Sunrise, FL 33351.

For further information, call Christopher Miller at 954-745-9567, ext. 216, or visit www.adrcbroward.org.
