Faith Center accepting donations for Women in Distress project

The Faith Center is accepting donations for Dare to Care, a humanitarian project benefiting Women in Distress.

After collecting donations from community members, the project will conclude with an event at the Broward Sheriff's Office central complex Aug. 15, when 1,000 people in need will receive food, school supplies and baby and toddler items among other things.

The following items are being accepted: water, bicycles, school supplies, gift cards, feminine hygiene products, baby car seats, strollers, all sizes of pampers and pull-ups, baby bottles, and non-perishable food, including rice, pasta, dry cereals, canned vegetables, and juices.

Donations can be dropped off at The Faith Center, 5555 NW 95th Ave., (the former Sunrise Musical Theater site). For more information, call 954-742-7832.
