Kids, can you lipsync?

A lipsync contest, the first kids/junior charity event, will take place in the Special Events tent at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, 14440 Pierson Road, from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13.
Contestants will be divided into age groups: 7 and under, 8-11, 12-15 and 16-18 for individual and group acts. Entrants are reminded to bring their music CD.
To sign up, e-mail kimkolloff@aol.com.
There will also be a "Battle of the Barns" to include contestants of all ages.
The winning barn will receive a golf cart from Dever for the rest of the season with the legend "Winner of Battle of the Barns" emblazoned on it.
Nonsingers and lipsyncers are urged to come and watch the show, have dinner and dance to DJ music.
Guest trainers will judge the contest.
Tickets are $15 for kids, $25 for adults.
There will be a cash bar.
Half the proceeds from the event will go to Danny and Ron's Rescue and some of their dogs who need homes will be present.
The other 50 percent of proceeds will be divided among the four winners' charities of choice.
