
The Weston Philharmonic Society will present its SUMMERFEST 2011 program at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 23 at Temple Dor Dorim, 2360 Glades Circle.
The Hungarian Remenyi Ede Chamber Orchestra will be joined in a cultural exchange by musicians from the Symphony of the Americas.
The concert will feature the music of Mozart, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, Vitali, Boccherini, Massenet, the Argentine tangos of Piazolla and rhythmic Hungarian music of Leo Weiner. The concert will be highlighted by solo performances by Hungarian-born, Symphony of the Americas’ violin virtuoso Laszlo Pop.
Tickets are $20, $10 for students (up to age 18; must show proof). Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Community Bank of Broward or at Comerica Bank, or at the door.
