Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston will be conducting baseline concussion screenings this week with their sports physicals at the Sagemont School for the first time,

The baseline screening will involve a computer IMPACT test, which is a series of cognitive tests involving words and shapes. A team of four physicians, four physical therapists and an athletic trainer from Cleveland Clinic Florida will administer the enhanced physicals.

Hydrant flushing to take place through July 30

Different place, same idea.

Fire hydrant flushing will be conducted throughout Weston during daytime hours through Monday, July 30.

According to the city: Flushing is done to increase the quality (color and disinfecting residual) of the water in the distribution system. Homeowners are not likely to notice a difference in water pressure or color, but if a dishwasher is running, it may pull some cloudy water into the home. The water is still safe and running the tap for a few minutes will produce clear water again.
