MTV VMA nominees
Shakira's truth-telling hips and the Red Hot Chili Peppers' romp through rock history are this year's leading nominees for MTV's Video Music Awards, with seven nominations apiece.
"Hips Don't Lie" and "Dani California" will compete in the video of the year category, against five-time nominees Madonna, for "Hung Up," and Panic! At the Disco, for "I Write Sins Not Tragedies," and four-time nominee Christina Aguilera for "Ain't No Other Man."
