Toby Keith announces new movie

Toby KeithToby Keith announced he'll break from touring to act in his second feature film, "Beer for My Horses."

The film, which follows a group of small-town deputies on a road-trip to save a girl from a band of drug lords, features Willie Nelson, Ted Nugent, the comedian Rodney Carrington, Claire Forlani of "CSI: NY" and Tom Skerritt.

Keith has been shooting in Los Cerrillos, NM, according to the Website of the Santa Fe New Mexican newspaper, which also reported that '70s singer-actor Mac Davis appeared on the set in Las Vegas to make a cameo as a preacher.

Produced by CMT Films, which also handled Keith's first movie outing, "Broken Bridges" in 2006, "Beer for My Horses" is to be released theatrically this summer.
