Say Uncle

NOTE TO SELF: Watching your favorite TV show AFTER it has aired an original episode is not the same. Tonight, I had prior obligations. Therefore, I needed to record GA. And when I say record, I don't mean TiVo. I mean old school style, get your roommate to hit the record button on your TV/VCR combo at exactly 8:00pm. I must admit, its a different experience. I am aware that GA is not a live performance taped in front of a studio audience, but there's something about watching your favorite show in its entirety with all the commercial breaks. It gives you time to breathe, time to take in the drama and time to crave what will happen next. You just dont get that same feeling when you can zip through the commercials. Anyway, before I get into the core of the episode, I have an observation. I think ole Mere must be getting ready to jump on the hair color spokesperson band wagon. Her hair seems to be crossing into a stronger brunette category. If she's not already been picked up by Garnier Nutrisse or Loreal - they need to step on it. Speaking of Mere, I see drama in her future. Her and McD have been on a 2 episode lovey dovey streak and that means only one thing - rocky roads are ahead. I cant quite put my finger on where the source of the problem will come in (it wont be the snoring), but I can see the stormy clouds forming. I give them one more episode before a fallout. Last but not least, this episode seemed to surround the idea of giving in or saying "uncle" if you will. Each character seemed to face a crossroads where they could continue or they could give in. Meredith and her dad. Christina and Burke. Izzie and her check (p.s. so predictable if she gives the money to the 90 degrees girl - that may sound harsh but Im not sure what her name was). George and his dad. Callie and George. Alex and Addison. Some of them will choose to give in to their pride or whatever else is holding them back and take a step in a new direction. Others will hang on and will inevitably be deprived of their right to decide because someone will decide for them.
