I'M THE GIRL FROM THE BAR!
And we're back.... I suppose its necessary, to begin Season 4 - yes I said Season 4 - with a look back at the beginning. Almost everything was a mirrored image. It's cyclical. Bailey's speech, George starting over, Meredith and Derek breaking up and having sex in a hospital room. It never seems to end, it just keeps going in circles.
First we are introduced to Lexi Grey, a name which screams happy, go-lucky and the exact opposite of dark and twisted. She is the front runner, the leader and everyone's BFF. We wouldn't need a DNA test to know she had a bit of Meredith Grey in her. Add some matted, greasy hair and a fear of commitment and they would be twins. I'm not sure where she's going but I am sure drama is in her future.
Next there's Christina, fresh off a broken marriage and a husbandless honeymoon, she is rocking the role of Resident. With the double french braid she was wearing tonight, she resembles a wilderness girl on the prowl. We have yet to see her official breakdown since the realization that Burke is not coming back. I think it will take a little while and it will come when it is least expected.
Finally, I was holding my breath for the "I dont love you Izzie" speech when I was blindsighted with the "I love you too" speech. Whhhhaaattt????!?!?!? Everything I read about the George/Izzie lovefest said it was over. Apparently, not yet. I really dont think I can stomach one more episode of their drama. I need George to move on. I need Izzie to find a new fling. I would be fine with her and Alex, her and McSteamy even. I just cannot handle George and Izzie anymore. Maybe she can hook up with an intern. That would be fun.
Few things I noticed...
Mardi Gras music? Did anyone else hear it?
Is there something symbolic about Izzie saving "Bambi"? I hope not.
Alex's angry man facial hair is distracting. It makes him look too old.
Anway, I dont have a lot of predictions for this season. I think I may just let this season play out and not try to guess what is going to happen....until next week. :)
