Well...what can I say that I haven't addressed already in previous blogs? First, Dead Denny needs to take the next flight back to Spookyville and leave Seattle Grace. Not only is the storyline bugging the crap out of me, but he is inhibiting Izzie from committing herself to Alex. Since Denny's first death, I have been waiting for an Alex and Izzie reunion. Now we have it and there is a freaking scruffy, t-shirt wearing Casper in the way. Don't be surprised if Grey's moves to daytime and follows Days of Our Lives because these kind of storylines only exist in the soap opera world.

On a brighter note, I was LOVING Christina last night. When Mere gets wrapped up in herself, I love that Christina puts her in check. Plus, the boiler room scene (or whatever that was over the vent) was SO CUTE! I love Christina, I love the new guy and I love them together. FINALLY, Shonda is back on track and getting something right. Can't wait to see where this one goes!

And back to Callie...blah blah blah...she found a new chick to swoon over...blah blah blah...they'll probably have a fling...blah blah blah...next topic please.

Sloan and Lexi. I am not completely hating this, but something about it felt very wrong. Like a principal sleeping with the senior class president. Next to Sloan, Lexi just seemed like a school girl, maybe it had something to do with her incessant "Teach me, teach me, teach me." I just can't imagine this relationship having any legs.

So, George expressing his constant concern for Izzie is obviously the prelude to her losing her mind. I mean, she already has but this is the obvious set-up for a full blown Isabelle Stevens melt down. Do you think we need to wait for the season finale to see it? I spoke with a ABC representative this week at work. I told him the theory of Izzie losing her mind was a way to get her off the show. He didn't say yes, BUT HE DIDN'T DENY IT. He just said "Oh really, that's what people are saying". Discuss...

I'm annoyed and confused. First and foremost, I am annoyed that there was so much time in this episode dedicated to Izzie talking and rolling in the sheets with Denny. It's flat out weird and overall creepy. I think her answering the door half naked and sweaty just took the cake. Is it possible for one person to be so delusional as to have sex with a ghost? Has Shonda Rhimes run out of every possible storyline for Izzie that she needs to resort to supernatural fornication?

Secondly, I am confused. If you are doodling the ghost of your lost love while in a relationship with a warm blooded, still breathing human...is it considered cheating? My first guess would be no...but after tonight and seeing Izzie hop from one bed to another, I am not so sure.

Last week, my theory was that the Izzie/Denny love saga was the beginning of the end. Although I am not ruling that theory out (since Denny ended the episode with "I'll be waiting"), it is possible that this could be some freaky phase she is going through and brighter days are to come. I mean, Alex is in the running for Boyfriend of the Year at this point...how could she pass that up?

Other than the Grey's rendition of GHOST, the only other major storyline was Lexi and the Intern Bandits. It was thoughtless and they will suffer the consequences blah blah blah. Who cares?

My storyline of interest was Christina and Meredith. I think their relationship is more interesting than Meredith and Derek's. It's more complex, less sappy and I can see truth in it. The complicated exchanges between a female and her female best friend are mind boggling. Their is a sense of protection and loyalty, trust that can not be broken and an unspoken set of rules that are to be adhered to. There are no excuses when it comes to a girl and her BFF. I could watch these two fight and forgive all day long.

As far as Christina and her "new" lover, I can't help but wonder what it would have been like if he was played by Joshua Jackson. I understand that I harp on this subject a lot, but I think losing Pacey Whitter to Fox is one of the greatest trajedies of our generation.

SO FINALLY, I watched Grey's in real time. It was quite refreshing to sit down with a friend and a bottle of wine and watch a full episode in the 8pm hour. It felt natural. I must say though, mixing wine and quick Grey's one liners is not a good combination. Thanks to DVR, we were able to keep up.

This episode brought me to many theories, so let's see what you think of them.

Theory #1: This new Sadie character is going to be a worldwind of trouble. First and foremost, she poses a threat to Christina and Mere's friendship. When it comes to Meredith, Christina's claws will come out. Second, it can only be so long before she jumps into bed with someone. The question is who? I read in TV Guide that Sadie's character is very similar to one Ms. Angelina Jolie (at least in her early days). She's a rebel with out a cause and as far as her sexual preferences...well she doesn't discriminate against anyone. So I say...watch out Seattle Grace!

Theory #2: Little Ms. Shonda Rhimes is setting us up for what I believe to be a grand exit for Isabelle Stevens. As much as I love Denny, the whole "Touch Me" thing is little freaky. I mean, he is dead. Maybe she's delusional, but he is dead. We saw her snuggle with his still blue corpse two seasons ago. This isn't a soap opera where characters are miraculously revived after falling off a cliff. Denny is done. Therfore, I think Izzie is on her way out of the show and Shonda wanted to send her off with an "Emmy worthy" performance. We know she wanted out of her contract for a while, maybe this is the ending she's been waiting for. Maybe she will walk off into the Seattle sunset holding the hand of a ghost. The details are unclear, but I believe this is a set up. Either that or Izzie will have to be checked into a mental institution. What really drives me crazy about this is Alex is being so perfect right now. He even burned Denny's sweater for her. Ahhhhh!! SO ANNOYING!

Anyway, I waited all episode for someone to refer to the weirdo surgeon as the female Rain Man, but no one did.

I also waited for someone to bust into Lexi Grey's Intern Fight Club, but no one did.

Overall, I liked this episode. I thought some of the storylines were getting a little stale (Hahn and Callie) and I am happy to see them make some changes. Bring on the drama Sadie!

I must say. Last night's episode was a perfect combination of storylines. Each character (minus Callie) had a something substantial and interesting to work with.

First, Meredith. I want to thank Shonda for giving Meredith a reality check. Every first year resident has an attitude, one that says "I am a master at my profession." But in reality, they have only been practicing for roughly 2 years. The idea that they are superior is ridiculous. Granted, McDreamy is a spotlight hog and Meredith did deserve a shout-out in the article BUT he is a veteran. He has worked his whole life to get recognition. Although calling her a baby was a little harsh, I do think it was well deserved. Especially since she drops transplanted organs.

Next, if there were to be yet another Grey's spinoff. I would want it to be about Christina. I just love watching her torment people. She is so blunt and unforgiving that I can't stop laughing. The intern draft was the highlight of this episode for me. Making them hold their lunch, silent in a single file line while being praised and ridiculed is like watching Hell Week at a frat house.

Callie and Erica: This week was just a little too graphic for me. Whatever they choose to do behind closed doors is fine with me BUT I don't need to be witness to Callie learning some "moves" from Sloan. It's just a little too much.

Alex and Izzie. It is quite possible that the only reason he kissed her was to STOP her from talking. She can be obnoxious. However, I am choosing to think he kissed her because he has never lost his deep down feelings for her. They are a match that makes sense and I adore. She is butterflies and warm chocolate chip cookies and he is tattoos and pool halls. Paula was right, opposites do attract!

Lastly, George and Lexi. I couldn't help but think that George really didn't give a crap when Lexi chewed him out. He just seemed unaffected. I'm thinking he is over trying to make relationships work in that hospital. He has had 3 crash and burn love affairs and he doesn't need another to add to the list.

Overall, I just thought this show was very well balanced. It wasn't the best show I've ever seen, but it had substance.

Discussion: Do you think Christina and the new army guy will be an item? What's going to happend with George and Lexi?

In case you were in the bathroom during the hilarious elevator scene, Izzie asked Meredith if she would prefer chocolate cake (Izzie) or an STD (Alex) for a roommate. The comparison stands alone as hysterical, but the elevator scene immediatley following the lunch room scene with Alex testing everyone's pain threshold is the REASON I love and will always love Grey's. Despite the over the top surgical scenarios and the highly dramatized Meredith and Derek relationships, I stay tuned each week for the smart comments and clever one liners. It is what makes this show a hit in my book.

On to more serious topics...Alex and Izzie. Alex, despite the fact that he is approaching or quite possibly past the age of 30, he still resorts to the dating antics of a 3rd grader. Rule #1: Be Mean to the Girl you like the most. He is, as Katy Perry would say, "Hot and Cold. Yes and No" He needs to swallow his pride or whatever else it is that's holding him back and embrace Izzie. She is reaching out to him and he is pushing her away. Get over yourself Alex!

Next, Christina. As we can see, she has some deep rooted issues. She can't express her feelings unless she is behind closed doors with someone else's shrink and she obviously has not let go of Burke. She is angry, although incredibly entertaining, and does not want to let go of her best friend.

Erica and Callie. My biggest problem with them is Callie. If we stop and think of her history...married to George, sleeping with Sloan, trying a new relationship with Erica...she may be the one that needs a shrink. Where is her head? And what is with her taste? The only common thread between those three is they wear scrubs everyday. I've seen confused people, but she takes the cake.

Finally, George and Lexi. Since I watched "Not another teen movie" this weekend, starring Lexi Grey, I am having a hard time see her as anything else. Granted, I am sure that was one of her first big roles and she is so much better off as a Grey family member, I am still having a hard time taking her seriously. Also, she may be the first person that I believe likes George. All the others seemed forced. I can see Lexi, the dorky photographic memory intern, actually loving George. So, bravo to Shonda for finally making one George combo believable.

Observations:

Meredith's house slightly resembles the house in Old School, which is ironic considering Derek referred to it as a Frat House.

Was Izzie drinking scotch/whiskey when Meredith walked up to her on the porch? When do girls become so hard core? I still can't even take the smell of dark liquors.

If every Grey's was made up of lunchroom scenes, I would watch Grey's like I watch a Hills or Law and Order: SVU marathon. I think that is the BEST part of every show.

Anyway, next episode looks pretty entertaining. More relationship drama....which I LOVE!

Although the subject line was uttered in the first few moments of tonight's premiere. I had no idea it would have such a consistent meaning throughout the episode.

REFRESH: Meredith has decided to recharge her ooey, gooey love puppy self and ask Derek to move in with her. Wow. Big step. It's only taken 4 seasons for this to happen.

REFRESH: Yang has been in a dark, depressive although often humorous coma since Burke left. A camoflauged man who staples his own leg and freezes men's legs walks in and she is completely recharged.

REFRESH: There was a small lapse in time when George was unwanted by Seattle Grace women. And by small, I mean probably less than one episode and then enters Lexi Grey. An uncanny version of her sister, who's only difference is hair color and an affection for George. Speaking of Lexi, I kept thinking she was auditioning for a Febreze commercial the way she kept snifing George. I mean, how good can he smell. He's in scrubs, in a hospital and walking in and out of surgery. Unless he reapplies his deodorant/cologne every few hours, there is nothing to smell there.

REFRESH: When we left Callie and Erica, they were making out. Now, their scenes resemble running into an ex-boyfriend at a bar. Awkward and completely unnecessary. However, I imagine running into the first girl you ever made out with would be MUCH more uncomfortable.

REFRESH: After last season, we didn't know what happened to Rose. Now, we know she is bitter and has Delayed Rage Syndrome. She also likes to stab surgeons with scalpels. The unfortunate part for her is...now she has to move. She got involved with the coolest guy in school and now she has to change lunch tables. Bad move Rose. You should have known better.

REFRESH: Izzy eyeing up Alex and it not working. How many times can Izzy try to love on Alex and then he turns back into and ASS? Seriously, his character needs more depth.

Finally, a few observations about tonight.

I'm not a fan of 2 hour episodes. It's too much of a commitment. Maybe in my more youthful days, I could handle it. But now, I would rather a powerful, leave me wanting more hour show than a full storyline 2 hour premiere. Just bring me the drama....stat.

The icicle into Christina's chest is pretty ironic considering she can be so cold. It would be like Izzie going into a coma after too much sun.

I enjoyed my reunion tonight with Grey's. It was simple in form, but it was nice. However, since the previews for next week insinuate Katrina will hit Seattle Grace, I am a little skeptical.

What do you think? Will Meredith, Izzie, Alex and Derek make good roomies? Will Lexi profess her love to George? Will GI Joe come back and work at Seattle Grace to be with Christina?

After which, Derek responded "Wait for Me", and we were left wondering "where is he going?" Where will this season lead them? Will they build their house? Start a family? Get married? I'm thinking NO. If they did, the show would end. I am looking for to some normalcy between the two however.

Other things to look forward to: Bailey is the Chief Resident. The Nazi will return! Lexi is starting the have a thing for George...which will officially make George the BIGGEST Pimp at Seattle Grace. Who woulda thunk it? Also, if you've watched the Season 5 preview...Rose apparently is preggers. Is it Derek's baby? I hope not. Will Shonda lead you to believe it is? Of course. Let's just hope Rose wasn't as desperate as she appeared and she was getting a little action on the side from some intern.

As far as Izzy goes, I like her character but I'm not really a fan of her in real life.

First of all, I apologize for not writing a blog last week. I know many of you feel incomplete when you watch an episode of Grey's and don't have my latest entry to follow it up with. I contemplated writing one, but it's difficult to submerge yourself in the happenings of Seattle Grace the night before your wedding. So, I apologize and hopefully I can fill the void in your lives through this entry. haha.

I'll start with the biggie. "Wait for Me." This line HAS to be the kiss of death. Meredith outlines the perimeter of the Shepherd house in candles and Derek follows up the gesture with a "Wait for Me". I'm sure her shrink would say something about the Chief speaking the same words to Meredith's mom. I am sure the parts of her that were fixed, will now be broken again. For a moment, I thought Meredith and Derek would live happily ever after, cure cancer and reside on a mountain top overlooking God's creation...and then he said "Wait for Me". There are several things I was wondering during this scene. 1. Was Derek going to call Rose? It seemed pretty early in the morning. I would hate to start my day with a break up. Even if he did it in person, that's the last thing you want over your first cup of coffee. 2. Although it was really cute and a huge step for Meredith, I really dont see how she could have pulled off the whole candle thing...I mean, really unrealistic in my book. But, whatever its the finale.

On to the girls. I decided to stop fighting the Callie/Erica thing. I'm still not really in to it. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Erica is really not my favorite person. Therefore, I could watch any other storyline than her hooking up with Callie - who I have come to love. But, whatever they're lovers now. Yeah girls!

So, Ava Rebecca has a borderline personality disorder...what a novel idea. She's crazy, they confirmed it...now she can go back to the looney bin and Alex and Izzie can get closer. yeah! Does it seem that we end each finale with Alex and Izzie having a moment? It seems as though each season, one of them is saving the other. Alex came to Izzie's side when Denny died and now Izzie is Alex's shoulder to cry on. I am sooooo rooting for them.

Our boy George. Just when I was loving George again...he goes and kisses Lexi Grey. Seriously? He kisses her, she touches her lips in a "oh my George kissed me" way and here starts a new unrealistic relationship for George O'Malley. Sure, I want him to find someone. But I was just starting to appreciate his quirky relationship with Lexi. She's kind of a brunette version of Izzie. Neurotic, bubbly, insanely nosy...perfect for George's best friend. All we need now is for Christina and George to hook up in the on-call room and he's got the whole hospital covered. He may give Dr. Sloan a run for his money.

On to Bailey. If I could keep her in my pocket and take her out when I am having a bad day..I would. Her speeches are unbelievably moving. I tear up each time. She could make me run a marathon, which in my world would never happen. She is phenomenal.

Observations....
Did anyone else think the tumor patient sex scene with Derek as the look out was really weird? I mean, the idea is cute and all, but he was standing guard while two teenagers had sex. Baffles me what they allow to happen in that hospital.

Christina getting her mojo back is one of the best things to happen in a long time. Dark and dreary Christina has her moments, but crazy sparkle pager Christina is so much more entertaining to watch.

But alas, here we are at the end of another season. It's been a short and rocky one. It's been much brighter than last season and a few more characters have made their mark on SG. As we head into the summer months, there are only a few questions we are left with....Will Derek and Meredith build their dream house? Or will Meredith punk out again? Will George pass his exam this time around and reunite as with his buddy residents? Will George have a better sexual experience with a different Grey? Will Callie and Erica be the new hot item? Or will Alex and Izzie? Hopefully, I will have DVR before these questions are answered.

Happy Summer!

I've often referred to episodes as fillers and tonight was a filler. I'm okay with that though. They can't all be Emmy winners.

Anyway, I'll start with Mere and Der. I wonder if when casting for these roles, Shonda Rhimes said "I need two people with hopelessly dreamy puppy dog blue eyes." If so, she got what she was looking for. Meredith and Derek seem to be speaking two languages. One is spoken by other humans and one is just between them two. Derek could be saying aloud "Dr. Grey we need to inject the virus simultaneously. We need to be completely in sync." Yet his eyes are saying "I can't believe I let you go. I can't believe I didn't fight harder. I can't believe I'm dating a nurse." I wish Derek would just pull a Notebook move, build a house by hand and put a picture in the Seattle Times newspaper where Meredith would see it and coming running back to him. Impossible? I know...Derek could never build a house and Meredith would never be impressed by that.

Christina's rant: I was wondering when she would have another true Burke breakdown. I like how the writers have continued her storyline. Most shows would have written off Burke and not revisited his character. But they continued to show Christina's anguish. I appreciate that. But, now its time to get Christina a new man. Is Pacey not still available? Maybe we could bring in Mark Paul Gosselar, who I think now only goes by Mark Gosselar. What's he doing these days? He's very attractive in his older age. He looked good as a cop on NYPD Blue, I am sure he would look good in scrubs. PS Isiah Washington was at the last Hornets game. Random. No one knew who he was.

Girl Love: So, I'm starting to think Callie is really into the idea of becoming a lesbian. Granted, she's nervous and is overcompensating by pouncing on Sloan all day. BUT, for a moment when Callie thought Hahn was just being a friend...I think she was sad. Let's be honest, Callie being a lesbian isn't that far of a stretch. I mean, George is pretty girly.

Speaking of George, when he's not having inter-hospital relations with women completely out of his league, he is pretty enjoyable. I would much rather watch a hour of George being the brown nosing Sex Police than watching him fondle Izzie. I actually forgot for a while how funny he is. And his sidekick Lexi is pretty great too. She's basically a girl version of George. Insecure, mousey, small, pale, foot in the mouth intern but every once in a while saves the day.

Izzie/Alex: I would have bet money on Izzie spilling the beans to Alex. I honestly didn't think it was possible for her to hold back telling him the Ava Rebecca is not with child. I wanted her to tell him and then run into his arms and say "we belong together Alex. I can't believe I ever thought George was attractive. You made TV Guide's sexiest men list...and I see that now." Maybe I should write this show.

Finally, Bailey's "Close your knees" speech was classic. Typical Bailey. Love it. However, is it really possible that Sloan had relations with most of the nursing staff? And if so, how in the world did he remember all of their names or have a form long enough? Maybe he posted a sign up sheet in the break lounge.

What are your thoughts on Meredith and Derek? Do you think they need to get over it and move on? Or are they really meant to be?

Which, if you have not done yet, is quite easy and enjoyable.

Anyway, on to the show. I think Shonda Rhimes read my blog last week because there was a shift in this episode. There were tears, yes. There was drama, yes. But the overall theme of the evening was humor. Here are a few of my favorite lines:

"I spent the night with a search engine" - Izzie trying to get invited to an intern dart tournament

"Six dates, heavy petting, lots of tongue" - Rose greeting Addison for the first time as Derek's new girlfriend

"Come here you" - A black haired awkward Addison giving Meredith a "you stole my husband, but I'm zen so its ok" hug

Callie: Does anyone ever think you two are a couple?

Meredith: No because we screw boys like whores on tequila...

Christina: and then we marry them or drown ourselves.

This is a classic Grey's moment. They have over the top drama at the end of a season and then spend all next season making fun of it. I LOVE IT.

Ok, on to the more serious issues. The idea of Callie and Hahn becoming a couple makes me nauseous...this might be worse than George and Izzie. I've questioned Hahn's sexuality all along. But Callie? Is it really possible that all of a sudden she is attracted to women? Does that really happen overnight? Somebody tell me because I apparently don't know. It's obvious Hahn is into Callie. And its obvious Callie is thinking she could be attracted to Hahn. Otherwise, she wouldn't have a nervous laugh and wouldn't defend her love for "penis" to Addison. I'm interested to see where this goes, but I am not looking forward to an inter-hospital hookup between these two.

Next, are we all thinking that Ava Rebecca is straight up lying to Alex? Is she testing his commitment to her or does she really think she's pregnant? Will Izzie break the news to Alex or confront Ava Rebecca about it? In true Izzie fashion, I am sure she will pull a "if you don't tell him, I will". Maybe that will bring Izzie and Alex back together again and Ava will be out of the picture for good. One can only hope.

Addison: I didnt realize how much I liked her on Private Practice until she came back to Grey's. Obviously, she's not coming back to Seattle and never intended on it. The men aren't interested in her. The women have new friends. And basically, she doesn't fit in anymore. Not to sound harsh or anything, I just think LA suits her better.

Anyways, between the tumor patient, the HIV patient and the baby with his heart outside of his chest...there was plenty to cry about. However, Christina trying to talk girl, the interns dis-inviting Izzie to their party and Derek in the elevator with his ex-wife, his ex-girlfriend and his new doe-eyed nurse lover....this episode ranks pretty high for me.

I am officially maxed out on Rock of Love 2 (and the season's over) and I need some serious new epsiodes in my life. Thank God for the end of the writers strike!

So I'll start from the end and work backward...

I didn't realize how much I adored Meredith and Derek until the end of tonight's episode. Seeing McDreamy exit the notorious elevator with Rose every morning and pecking her on the lips, made me wish for the days of awkward elevator rides with MG and DS. They belong together. Seeing Meredith try to develop a strictly professional relationship with Derek while Rose stares hopelessly in the backround, you have to know they are meant to be. They are Zach and Kelly, they are Pacey and Joey, they are a couple that will always be meant for each other.

Now on to the contest...

Do we really need the bloody, scalp peeling, intestine dropping gore scenes? I mean, I know its a show set in a hospital...but can't Grey's be the first show to nix all the medical drama? Can't Grey's just be about a bunch of people who wear scrubs, report to a hospital each day and deal with the intensity of dating another person who wears scrubs?

Also, although the contest was really entertaining...did the prize have to be Hannah Montana's pager? That thing had more sparkles than a 4th grader's tap dance costume.

George and Lexi in the Crapartment: I was reluctant for this friendship to transpire, thinking it was just another way for George to have an unrealistic sexual relationship with an attractive intern. However, Lexi is growing on me and her need to steal urine recepticles and turn them into spagetti holders is extremely amusing. If they can remain friends, and not travel down the dark path of a Meredith and George disgustingly awkward hookup...I'm on board with the Crapartment.

Overall, it wasnt an eventful episode but I enjoyed it.

Here are a few more observations:

Who's Who?
I know there are probably only 3 people on the planet who recognized this (my future sister in law included)....BUT the girl who lost a piece of her head...was the rich girl in She's All That who had her face painted like a clown. I know, I really need a life.

Alex: I think he's channeling a Jack Shepherd (Matthew Fox) look. Scruffy, shaved head...and I love it! The ladies will be swooning before we know it.

Patrick Dempsey: For a man of his attractiveness level, he surely spends a lot of time chasing women. In every movie, in every show, he is one step behind the woman he wants to be with...except Rose. She's a weepy lost cause who will get her heart broken.

After 3 years of watching this show, think I have the lineup figured out. 8-815: friendly banter, clever snappy one liners and all around smiles. 815-830: development of new problems, introduction of drama. 830-845: serious drama, serious tear jerkers, make you want to lay in your bed and cry all day outcomes. 845-9: some resolutions, few more one liners and a hope for next week's new episode.

Thursdays are back baby!

When tonight's episode began, I was thinking...every plot line is sooooo played out. Izzie jealous of Christina and Meredith's friendship. The white supremacist wanting only a Caucasian doctor to operate on him. Meredith wanting, not wanting, wanting, not wanting Derek. Then... Izzie, I forgot about as the night went on. The white supremacist plotline actually developed into something I enjoyed. The former nicknamed "Nazi" calling on Jesus and cutting directly through the center of her swatstika tatooed patient. However, Me Me Me Meredith wanting everything and nothing from Derek all at the same time, is so lame and overrated. I not only hope that Derek starts dating Rose, the random nurse from nowhere, but I hope they fall in love and live happily ever after in his trailer. Well, not really, but I hope Derek makes Meredith insanely jealous for quite a while.

Tonight's episode ranks with the train crash and the ferry boat crash. They are dramatic, someone always dies and they are to be continued. I love shows like Grey's because of the drama. However, "blood" drama, I am not so much a fan of. One man, hanging upside down from an ambulance while singing "I can see clearly now, the rain is gone" to his best friend who is on the brink of death is not my idea of entertainment. Ok its not real, so its not that bad, but it is hard to take. AND blood spurting out from the artery of Seth Green like a scene straight out of Saw is downright WRONG. I was in the middle of reminiscing about Seth Green's gangsta performance in Can't Hardly Wait when his neck exploded. Seriously didnt need that.

Finally, we have the love triangle of Ava Rebecca/Alex/Lexi. The funny part to me is this isnt really a love triangle. Alex is not REALLY with either girl, but the situation seems to be quite awkward.

Observation:

Does Ava Rebecca only wear purple satin type shirts? The shirt she wore tonight, pre-scrubs that is,

was eerily similar to the one she left behind.

So tonight's episode paid homage to the awkard four years we call high school. Basically, this was Lindsay Lohan and the Mean Girls (or the Breakfast Club, pick your era) take on Seattle Grace. The first few minutes of this episode is everything I adore about GA. Derek on a date with Sydney, Sloan offering to fake a heart attack, Izzie griping about George and Bailey giving a really long fiesty speech. By that I mean, the fast funny quick shots that have you cracking up before the first commercial. That is the essence and brillance of Grey's. Too bad those scenes are completely reliant on clever writing...let's all hope the writers come back soon.

Tonight, I finally broke down and decided to like Lexi. For the first time, she did not drive me crazy and she actually became someone to root for. Personally, I would have added a slap to the five minute rant she gave Meredith. But, the dramatic walk away was sufficient enough. Some may disagree, but Meredith really deserved that.

Sydney and McDreamy. Although this was not a huge topic of the night, I just found it to be the MOST entertaining. She is a doe eyed doofus but I completely appreciate her character. Their fake date over peanuts and beer was priceless. Even better was her "I bring home the bacon, you may not be what I need" speech. In the words of my friend Jaime "someone who I am not dating, just broke up with me". Now Jaime and McDreamy have something in common.

George and Izzie. I know we are not there yet but I can feel it coming. This episode was less painful for me because there was no sexual attempts between these two. I can feel their relationship's demise right around the corner. I am a fan of their friendship. They are allowed to be BFF, just not BF/GF. (there's a few high school terms for ya)

Observations:

McDreamy just doesnt get better. He always helps Meredith put on her jacket. He is a hottie who use to have acne and be in the band. He goes on a date with Sydney Pain in the Ass. He hugs patients when they lose their best friend. Seriously? Thank God this is TV, because I dont think the world is ready for someone so incredible.

Rose, the new nurse, I am betting we will see more of her...and I hope it makes Meredith jealous.

Speaking of Meredith, she has been wearing a lot more makeup these days.

Why is it that George always looks like Charlie Brown? Do they purposefully put him in striped child like shirts?

Also, next time you watch GA, listen to how Christina says "Meredith". Its fantastic. I dont know why, its just funny and I really appreciate it.

Speaking of Christina, SPOILER ALERT, STOP READING IF YOU HATE SPOILERS...

Joshua Jackson, aka Pacey Whitter from Dawson's, is set to play a doc on Grey's and will be the new rebound for..........Christina Yang. Yes! Pacey and Christina...hot new item. Love it or hate it?

Ehh. That's all I have to say. Ehh. This episode was nothing more than Meredith saying Blah Blah Blah. Really, blah blah blah is all I hear. Now, I tune her out. Don't ask me what she was babbling about tonight. I don't know. I heard death, Derek and ... nope that's all I got. Not that every episode can be award winning but tonight was simply eventless.

Well, there was one event I did enjoy. I enjoyed Izzie's breakdown before her perfect sex night with George. If she wouldn't have started crying, I would have. I cannot and will not endure anymore George and Izzie. I am about one sex scene away from boycotting Grey's.

Speaking of sex scenes, is there a "special" on call room that us viewers are not aware of. By that I mean, is there an assigned on call room where you are free to have sex in as long as you hang a stethescope on the door and no one will disturb you? It seems as though no one is disturbed when they are laying nude with another person in the on call room. Do they change the sheets? Do you sign up for a 30 minute period so everyone gets their turn? If all businesses operated like this, it would be a dirty world.

Speaking of dirty, little miss innocent Lexi Grey is taking a walk on the wild side with the self proclaimed "bad-ass" Alex. Shame, shame, shame Lexi Grey. As the previews allude to, you are walking in dangerous self-loathing territory. Alex warned you and somehow you, like every other girl on the show, do not listen. He is a jerk, because he wants to be, and I don't think we have seen the last Ava Rebecca. At least Lexi did not decide to sleep with George.

Speaking of George, tonight was the first time I felt bad for him since post-drunken night with Izzie. When he was forced to partake in the Bridezilla showdown (really funny by the way) and was on display for all his old friends to watch, I felt bad for him. I got over it when he was kissing Izzie by candelight.

In the end, the episode was uneventful. Even the "Gentlemen's Evening" turned out to be nothing more than wine and Monopoly with 3 men and a manly woman. Ehhh.
